Christian Cowgirl Camp Curriculum
Biblical Teaching
learn how to be a faithful Christian woman
As Titus 2:3-5 states, older women should teach younger women in ways of purity, kindness, self-control, and love. For this very reason, I invite ladies who are older and more experienced than myself to teach how God empowers and commands us to be compassionate, capable, confident, and content. During the morning devotional time, we worship our Lord and review the memory verses for the day.
Riding
learn how to communicate without words
During the riding stations, girls ride well-trained horses that are worth their weight in gold. After getting their helmet on, each rider climbs into the saddle with the help of two riding instructors. One instructor explains the patterns, how to control the horse, and riding posture. At the same time, the other riding instructor watches to ensure safety and provide the camper with what they need to feel comfortable in the saddle.
Guest Speakers
learn about equine-based careers
Every person has an individual calling that fills different needs in a community. The horse community is no different. Our guest speakers include veterinarians, farriers, trainers, rodeo queens, ranchers, and others! These horse professionals volunteer their time to come present their expertise and answer questions!
Horse Education
learn to care for and show horses
Campers spend time learning about grooming, feeding, tack, horse anatomy, and different types of horse shows. This gives them a knowledge base to keep with them for the rest of their life.
Crafts
be creative!
Trust me, you won't want to throw these crafts away when your daughter comes home! These western crafts each have an easy formula, but each girl creatively makes it her own!
"Camp was a wonderful experience and truly enhanced my daughter's love of Jesus and love and respect for horses."
